At times when you cannot or do not wish to answer a call, you may redirect it to your Voicemail and listen to your messages later.
The Voicemail service can be active:
- When your phone is off,
- When you are busy,
- When you do not wish to answer or
- For all incoming calls, if you choose this option.
In any of these cases, if your Voicemail has been activated, with redirection of calls customized by yourself, your incoming calls will be answered by Voicemail and you will be able to listen to your messages at your convenience.
When setting your handset, the access number to which the calls are redirected and the one you need to enter is 909.

You can configure and customize your Voicemail by:
- Recording your welcome message
- Recording your voice signature (a voice signature is the name of the Voicemail inbox owner spoken in their own voice), and
- Change the password.
You may choose to protect your Voicemail by having the system prompt for password every time you call to retrieve your messages. This option can be activated/deactivated by calling our Call Centre at 063/9000, sending an SMS to 909 or via the Yettel portal.
Once you access your Voicemail inbox, the answering machine will prompt you to enter your 4 to 8 digit password, followed by #. If the correct password is entered the system will inform you of the number of new and old messages. New messages that have not been played will be played back one after another, and after each message is played, the following options are available to you:

How does Voicemail work?
When the caller connects to your Voicemail, the system welcome message and your voice signature are played, or your welcome message, and the message informs the caller that they can leave a message after the beep. The message recording ends by pressing # or simply hanging up. When you receive a new Voicemail message, you will be notified by SMS.
If call redirection is activated and you do not answer the call, Voicemail will activate after 20 seconds.
Voicemail features
- Total duration of all recorded messages is 3 minutes
- New messages are saved by the system for 5 days, played messages for 2 days, and saved messages for 15 days
- If the inbox is full, the system will request that you delete any unnecessary messages
- As long as your inbox is full, you will not be able to receive any new messages

- leaving a message directly in someone's voice mail is charged according to the defined price list
- Playing own messages is free of charge

While roaming
- If unconditional call redirection to Voicemail is active (redirecting all incoming calls regardless of network status), you will not receive any incoming calls as they will all be redirected to your Voicemail. You will be informed of the number of voice messages received and you will be able to play them by calling your Voicemail number. This call will be charged in keeping with the relevant tariff charge for calls from our network to the network you are logged into at the time.
- If conditional redirection to the mailbox is active, all incoming calls will go straight to your subscriber number, in the country you are in at the time, and will be directed back to your Voicemail, and the call will be charged double – as an incoming call from a foreign network to our network. We advise you to turn off your “conditional redirection” option to avoid increasing your costs while roaming.
