Frequently asked questions

How does eSIM work?

eSIM is a digital SIM card. This new technology works through a chip embedded in your device. eSIM cards have a big advantage over classic ones because they are more reliable, safer to use and protected from misuse by the most modern security measures. eSIM is intended for all Yettel users, individuals and legal entities, who own a phone that supports eSIM.

I have a problem downloading the eSIM profile. What should I do?

Before eSIM activation

  • Check whether your phone supports eSIM technology
  • Check if your phone is connected to the Internet (we recommend using Wi-Fi during installation).

If you want to install the same eSIM on another device, you must first deactivate it on the previous device before activating it on the new one.

How do I transfer an eSIM to a new device?

To activate the same eSIM on a new device, you can use the QR code you already have on the voucher or in the Yettel application, under Other / Profile / SIM card, by clicking the eSIM card data. It is not necessary to replace the eSIM card, but you need to deactivate/remove the SIM on the previous Android device, then scan the QR code and activate it on the new device.

Does the eSIM remain on the phone if I reset the phone to factory settings?

This depends solely on the phone model. On some models, during the factory reset process, you can choose to save the eSIM. If the eSIM has been deleted from your phone, you can reactivate it using the same eSIM voucher.
