What most frequently influences the unwanted usage of Internet traffic in roaming? How to prevent having high bill for roaming?

In order to avoid a high bill for roaming due to Internet and automatic applications updating, we advise you to activate the service TravelSure, which will give you full cost control, but also cheaper calls, if they last over one minute.
If you are a prepaid user, we advise you to activate the Yettel add-on Travel package. You can pick one of offered 6 Travel packages, which differ by type and quantity of traffic they offer (SMS, MB, MIN + SMS, MIN + SMS + MB).
Automatic software and/or installed application updating on your device may influence unwanted use of Internet traffic while roaming. In order to avoid unplanned costs, we advise you to adjust the software and application settings on your handset before going abroad. By selecting manual updating, you will receive a notification on the possibility of data updating but have an option of choosing whether you’ll accept updating at that given moment or postpone it for later.
We emphasize that applications such as WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, and YouTube, use data throughput and should be carefully used in roaming.

Do you charge balance check in roaming?

Balance check while in roaming is free of charge. You can check the balance in the following ways:

via My menu 111, i.e. typing the code *111*1*1#
typing the code *121# (if you are a prepaid user)
typing the code *311# (if you are a postpaid user)

Do you charge listening to voice mail in roaming?

Listening to voice mail messages in roaming is charged according to the valid Price List for roaming traffic.
Note for Montenegro: If you call voice mail from the network of One Crna Gora, that call is charged 10. 07 din/min, VAT included. However, if you activate Montenegro roaming card, listening to voice mail is free of charge.

How is diverting charged in roaming?

Whether diverting will be charged or not, depends on the type of diverting you configure on your phone.

Voice mail diverting:

unconditional diverting – this type of diverting is not charged;
diverting busy status – incoming call is charged at tariffs for international zones, and the outgoing call under the Price List valid in roaming;
diverting in case of no reply – both incoming and outgoing call are charged, under the Price List valid in roaming;
diverting in case of unavailability– both incoming and outgoing call are charged, under the Price List valid in roaming.

Diverting to another mobile or fixed number:

unconditional diverting – incoming call is not charged, whereas the outgoing call is charged under the tariff package the customer is using;
diverting busy status – both incoming and outgoing call are charged, under the Price List valid in roaming;
diverting in case of no reply– both incoming and outgoing call are charged, under the Price List valid in roaming;
diverting in case of unavailability – both incoming and outgoing call are charged, under the Price List valid in roaming.

How is use of Internet charged in roaming?

TravelSure tariff: charged per kilobyte (kB);
Standard roaming tariff and Travel packages which have internet traffic: if you are postpaid user (except in Montenegro), internet is charged by rounding off kilobytes, namely 5+100 kB (e.g., 2 kB use of Internet will be rounded to 5 kB, whereas data throughput of 6 kB will be rounded to 105 kB, of 106 kB to 205 kB, etc.);
Standard roaming tariff: if you are a postpaid user, internet is charged by rounding off kilobytes, namely 5 + 95 + 100 kB. The first 5 kB are charged, whereafter charging according to a principle 95 + 100 kB is applied and that traffic is charged under the Price List valid for Internet in roaming.

Can I activate Travel Sure tariff abroad?

If you are a physical person, activation of TravelSure tariff is possible from roaming, in the following ways:

Type short code *111#, option 7 (this form of activation is free of charge);
Send SMS message reading TS10 or TS50 to number 9000 (SMS is charged under the Price List valid for roaming).

What is the difference between roaming and international calls?

International calls are made when a user from Serbia uses a national operator’s number from which he calls a foreign number. Roaming call is made when Yettle/mts/A1 network user calls or receives a call from abroad.

Do I pay incoming SMS message when in roaming?

Incoming SMS messages are not charged when you are in roaming. Outgoing messages are charged under the Price List valid for the country in which you are located.

When in Serbia, how am I charged for calls to numbers which are in roaming?

When you are calling from Serbia a number of a Serbian operator which is in roaming, that call is charged under the valid Price List, i.e. same as when the user you are calling is in Serbia.

Why is roaming in Serbia more expensive compared to EU?

The European Commission has regulated wholesale prices between operators and retail prices for users in the European Union. Since Serbia is not an EU member, these prices do not apply to it.

I am a new customer, when will I have the roaming service activated?

According to Yettel procedures, if you are a new postpaid user, or a physical person, the roaming service will be activated after you pay your first monthly bill. You can use roaming even before that date if you pay the allocated sum of 4,000 dinars. This amount will be used as a bill prepayment (advance).
If you own one of more of our numbers, for which the first monthly bill has been paid (i.e. roaming is active for that number/numbers), we will activate roaming even before the given date. You need to call our Contact Centre at 9000 or visit the nearest Yettel shop so that we can activate this service.
If you have an internet tariff package, roaming will not be automatically activated after the first monthly bill, but you have to send a written request for the activation of this service.
If you are a legal person, you have to demand activation of this service by sending a written request, under the firm’s heading.
