Yettel network – green, safe and with best coverage by mobile internet

Belgrade, October 19, 2023 – It has been a year since the day when 100% green, Yettel network, became a synonym for fast, safe and good quality network that offers customers unique solutions in online and offline world. For a fifth year in a row, Yettel is carrying an acknowledgment for the best network quality “Best in test“, awarded by the international technology company UMLAUT. The last UMLAUT benchmarking has shown that Yettel network has the highest total score and right of public use of Umlaut certificate “Best in test network”. In its measurement UMLAUT is using the ‘crowdsourcing’ methodology, which shows real customer experience: in this past benchmarking, during six months, Umlaut collected a total of 73.8 million samples from 31 thousand users and covered 97 percent of the population.

Umlaut research has shown that Yettel also has the best coverage by internet in the whole country. This is particularly important when lives depend on whether there is a good mobile signal, such as situations the Mountain Rescue Services is daily faced with in its work. That is why GSS and Yettel are working together on demonstrating to citizens how important it is that we are safe in both digital and real world and how mobile coverage can help with that. 

When speaking about safety in the digital world, there is Safe net, solution for the safe use of internet. While users surf the Internet in Yettel network, Safe Net identifies and blocks malicious web locations and protects users from Internet frauds that serve for stealing private or financial data. Also, it provides an option of access control to content in specific categories, such as social networks, inappropriate contents, games and risky sites. Until now, this service has been activated by almost 200 thousand users, which shows that they have recognized the importance of such solutions.

As of the start of 2022, Yettel is also the first 100% green network, because electrical power used by this mobile network totally originates from renewable sources, 100%ЗелЕПС.
