The goal of million recycled devices in Yettel achieved
Belgrade, March 27, 2025 – Since the beginning of 2025, together with its users, Yettel has reached the target of million recycled devices. Thanks to great interest and response of the users, a new ambitious target has been set, which is 2, 7 million recycled devices till the year 2027.
Approaching the fourth anniversary of recycling and with the aim of motivating customers to a responsible attitude towards our surroundings, Yettel is continuing with the awarding practice. Consequently, the electronic bike was presented to Lara Grubor, which surrendered the millionth device for recycling.
“Customers want to be on top of technological innovations and, at the same time, take care of the human environment. Our recycling program has enabled that and brought encouraging results. Here I primarily think of the fact that 99 percent of our users buy a new phone while surrendering the old device. That makes significant savings possible at purchase and, what is more important, to contribute to the preservation of our human environment and the community we live in a simple way. The figure of 2, 7 million devices for 2027 is the target we will certainly achieve even quicker“, stated Dejan Marković, Consumer Segment Manager in Yettel.
From the beginning of 2025 till today, over 1, 5 million devices have been recycled, which represents more than 106 tons of hazardous electronic and electric waste, which was returned to new use. Almost every device bought in Yettel can be brought for recycling – whether it is a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, smart watch, MiFi device, router, recharger, headphones or Bluetooth loudspeaker.
In addition, Yettel has introduced a possibility of buying a phone in 36 instalments, which encourages users to change devices after longer time period, thereby additionally reducing the number of unnecessary waste devices. Also, customers automatically get three years guarantee for purchased devices, without additional costs, which ensures safe and reliable purchase.
