Belgrade Finals of the competition "Yettel – Full Speed to the Stars"
Belgrade, March 14, 2022 – After over four months, 270 boys and girls from 17 Belgrade municipalities tested their competition skills in the Athletic Hall in Belgrade as part of the Belgrade Finals of the eighth cycle, "Full Speed to the Stars."
The competition, organized by company Yettel, in cooperation with the Athletic Federation of Serbia, has fully achieved our objective: the popularisation of athletics and the development of team spirit and sports among elementary school students. Slobodan Branković, Director of the Athletic Federation of Serbia, and Marija Vujanić, Communications and Sustainability Director in Yettel, opened the competition.
"Our wish and the wish of the Athletic Federation of Serbia is to point to true values through such an event, that participation, comradeship and mutual support are equally important as winning, in sports competitions, as well as in life. We believe it is important to seek balance in daily life and encourage children to engage in sports from an early age. We are looking forward to grand finals in June when children from all over Serbia will run together", said Marija Vujanić, representative of Yettel.
In the event, 17 teams from 17 Belgrade municipalities participated, i.e., 270 children from elementary schools from Belgrade territory. During qualifications, 16 boys and 16 girls won their place in the semi-final races, and after the promotional race, tested their strength in the final races.
The winners of the Belgrade Finals are Jelena Živković, Elementary School “Kralj Petar II Karađorđević”, Vračar and Aleksa Lukač, Elementary School “Momčilo Živojinović”, from Mladenovac. Valuable prizes of the company Yettel were presented to them and other participants.
