Join the best mobile and now the best home internet network!
For years, we have proudly been recognized as "The best network in test", and this year we've received another important award. We're the best mobile network again, and now officially the network with the best home internet.
Umlaut conducted independent testing on the territory of the Republic of Serbia in the period from October 2, 2023. until March 2, 2024. and based on the data obtained, Yettel network achieved the highest overall result on the mobile network test with the best individual result in the category of measuring mobile internet coverage, as well as the highest overall result on the home internet test with the best individual result in the categories of data upload speed and latency.
Yettel, starting from January 1, 2022, for the operation of its mobile network uses electricity that comes entirely from renewable energy sources, which is confirmed by the guarantees of origin issued by the company EMS AD Belgrade, as the operator of the transmission system. More information on the page Yettel network.
Umlaut, part of the company Accenture, conducted independent testing on the territory of the Republic of Serbia in the period from November 28, 2022. until 14.05.2023. and based on the data obtained, the Yettel network has the highest overall score and the right to public use of the umlaut certificate „Best in Test“.
For the sixth time in a row, we won the "Best in Test" award at the comparative measurement of network quality, conducted by the international company UMLAUT.
In addition to the best overall rating, a comparative study of mobile networks showed that our network has the highest mobile internet coverage (broadband coverage) and the lowest latency in data transmission.
The measurement results are based on 62 million samples taken from 39 thousand users. Testing covered 97.3% of coverage area.
In 2021, our network was twice the best-rated network in Serbia at the UMLAUT comparative measurement of network quality.
October
The fifth consecutive "Best in Test" recognition of the UMLAUT company, and the second in 2021. In total, we scored 941 out of the maximum 1000 points on the fifth quality test of mobile networks in Serbia, the most comprehensive so far in terms of the number of samples taken.
The measurement results are based on 62.3 million samples taken from 43.2 thousand users. The testing, which lasted from March to September 2021, covered 97.8% of the inhabited territory of Serbia on a total area of 42,682 square kilometers. The measurement is based on a crowdsourced methodology that provides insight into the real user experience. Umlaut, part of Accenture, is a global technology firm that evaluates the performance of more than 200 mobile networks in over 120 countries.
March
Again the best for the fourth time with a total of 921 points out of a maximum of 1000. The tested categories in which we recorded the best result are the widest mobile internet coverage and minimum delay in data transmission. Testing was conducted over a period of six months on 50.5 thousand users and 53 million samples.
"After the pandemic test of how much we can provide to users, our development based on the latest network technologies has only accelerated. In 2020 alone, more than 30 million euros were invested in network infrastructure, 800 sites were upgraded and a total of 150 4G+ new locations were established. It again gave results on UMLAUT's comparison of mobile networks where we improved the values compared to last year", said Saša Leković, executive director of technology of Telenor Serbia.
For the third time in two years, our network received the Umlaut award Best in Test at the independent measurement of the quality of mobile networks in Serbia, conducted by the international company UMLAUT during the crisis when mobile traffic exceeded all previous records. The categories tested were for coverage, speed and least latency in data transfer, and our network scored the highest in each.
Again the best network in test according to the second independent measurement of the quality of mobile networks in Serbia conducted by the international technology company P3. We had the highest score in as many as five out of six categories, which are related to coverage, upload and download speed.
The best network in test according to the independent measurement of the quality of mobile networks in Serbia conducted by the international company P3. This prestigious award is particularly significant because it is based on a "crowdsourcing" methodology that reflects the actual user experience.
"When we plan the development of the network, first of all, we are guided by the needs of our users. For years, we have been working hard to provide all citizens in Serbia with a quality network in all parts of the country. This recognition is the result of long-term investments that have enabled our users to have a superior experience in using the mobile Internet," says Mike Michel, General Director of Yettel Serbia.
P3 was an international technology company that measured the quality of mobile networks in more than 120 countries around the world, and this time it did it in Serbia. In the territory where 57 percent of the population lives, 10 million samples were taken from 7,000 users. In this way, it was confirmed that we provided a high-quality network to our users, with the best results in coverage and data download speed.

We continue to invest in the future
Although we are already the best network, we do not plan to stop there. We have created 5G test environments for the development of solutions based on the technology of the future, before it is commercially available.
