Mike Michel
Chief Executive Officer
Mike Michel is the CEO of Yettel Serbia (formerly Telenor Serbia) and the President of the Foreign Investors Council. He assumed the position of CEO of the company on October 8, 2018. Prior to joining the company, he held the position of Marketing Executive at Banglalink, a telecommunications company in Bangladesh. Also, Michel was the Executive Director of Marketing at Yettel Hungary, (formerly Telenor Hungary), and Vice President of Brand Management at Telenor Group in Norway.
Michel has more than twenty years of experience in leadership positions in global telecommunications companies in the region, North America, and Asia. He worked in various management positions in the Czech Republic, Serbia, Montenegro, and Hungary. He spent five years in Serbia and Montenegro, during which he led teams in the field of commerce and business.
He graduated in economics from Simon Fraser University in Canada.
Saša Filipović
Chief Commercial Officer
Saša joined the Management of Yettel Serbia, (formerly Telenor Serbia) on January 1, 2018. Previously, he held the position of Commercial Executive Director at Yettel Bulgaria, (formerly Telenor Bulgaria) from 2013, where he also served as Acting General Director in 2017.
Before joining the Bulgarian team, Saša held the position of Executive Director of Strategy at Yettel Serbia. He gained wide experience in numerous leading positions in the commercial field.
Saša graduated in Management from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade. He is married and has two children.
Vanja Stanković
Chief Financial Officer
Vanja previously held the position of Director of Controlling and Risk. She started her career at Yettel Srbija, then Telenor, ten years ago and held several leading positions in the Finance sector. Prior to that, she worked in the Finance Department of Philip Morris.
She graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Belgrade and is a certified member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration).
Saša Leković
Chief Technology Officer
Leković joined the company on October 1, 2018. He came to Yettel Srbija (formerly Telenor Srbija) from Kazakhstan, where he worked as the Executive Director of Technology and Information Technologies (CTIO) in the company KCELL, a member of the Telia Group and the leading mobile operator in the country, with more of 10 million users.
Before that, Leković worked in the Telekom Srbija Group (which includes operations in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina), as the Advisor to the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2015 and was responsible for the development of techniques, technology and services, as well as network transformation. Within the Telekom Srbija Group, Leković held the positions of Executive Director of Technology (2008-2012) and Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation (2007-2008). During that period, he also managed the EU company Telekom Srbija registered in Amsterdam, which is the owner of the international IP MPLS network that connects 12 main European centers for Internet exchange and through which international VPN services are performed at the same time as the company's wholesale Internet business.
Leković also spent four years at Telekom in Montenegro (2001-2005) as the Executive Director of Transformation and Information Technologies. Leković has a Master's degree in electrical engineering, which he obtained at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. He speaks English and Russian.
Goran Vasić
Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
Goran joined the Management Board of Yettel Serbia (formerly Telenor Serbia) in June 2021. He was previously a strategic advisor to the company, working on strategic development projects since 2019. Goran has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector, technology, and governmental relations.
Goran has more than 25 years of experience in new business development and market expansion of high-growth telecommunications organizations. He worked for Lucent in Thailand, Taiwan, and Australia. He also worked for Ericsson in Israel, USA, and Mexico. Among other managerial positions, he was the CEO & CTO of SBB and the Executive director of Corporate Affairs at Yettel Serbia for seven years (from 2008 to 2015).
Goran holds a master's degree in telecommunications from the University of Novi Sad and the COTRUGLI business school (MBA). He attended the London Business School's corporate finance program. He is married and has two children.
Nevena Stefanović
Chief Human Resources Officer
Nevena is a leader with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
She joined the company in 2002. She started her career in the technology sector and continued it in leading positions in Marketing, Strategy, and Corporate Communications. Since 2016, she has held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer.
Nevena graduated in telecommunications from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade in 2002 and received a master's degree in Business administration in marketing, MBA, from the University of Sheffield (2008).
Azfar Shah
Chief Strategy And Data Officer
In his role as Chief Strategy and Data Office, Azfar is responsible for Yettel Serbia's AI agenda to drive long term profitability. He has been in the telco industry since 2006 in various roles in the commercial area.
He started his career from his home country, Pakistan, having also worked in Norway and Bulgaria before joining the team in Serbia in 2018. In his previous role at Yettel Serbia as Consumer Marketing Director, he successfully led the team to deliver ambitious long-term vision and profitability.
Azfar holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi Pakistan. Azfar is married and has two children.
