Environmental Management System
In order to reduce the negative impact on the environment, Yettel has established the Environmental Management System (EMS), since 2010, which was certified according to the ISO 14001 standard in 2011.
EMS is a combination of people, activities, policies, procedures, audits and plans, to establish a more systematic approach to environmental protection. The system set up in this way refers to the entire company, to all its facilities, i.e. activities, products and services, which directly or indirectly affect the environment.
With the adoption of the Environmental policy and the introduction of the above-mentioned system, environmental protection is becoming part of Yettel day-to-day operations. Although certification according to the ISO 14001 standard is not a legal requirement, Yettel intention is to draw attention to this very important issue by its example and daily business in accordance with the mentioned standard.
With its Environmental policy, Yettel is committed to continuous environmental improvement and pollution prevention, as well as compliance with relevant legal and other requirements. Yettel achieves this commitment by reducing and eliminating emissions of harmful substances into the environment, saving resources and energy, reducing the amount of waste and its reuse or recycling. The policy is the strategic document of Yettel's business and the Environmental Management System and is always available to all interested parties at the following link.
Through regular maintenance and continuous improvement of EMS, Yettel has the ultimate goal to reduce the negative impact of business on the environment, contribute to its protection and improvement, and raise individual and collective awareness of how individuals and communities can contribute to preserving the environment.
