Specialized Beds for the Cardiac Surgery Department at Tirsova University Children's Clinic
Belgrade, August 28 - The Cardiac Surgery Department at Tiršova University Children's Clinic, Belgrade, has received a significant donation from the Yettel Foundation. The donation includes specialized pediatric beds that greatly improve treatment conditions for young patients. Beds have been placed in the Cardiac Surgery Department, where patients are treated after being discharged from the cardiac surgery intensive care unit. The equipment is valued at over 30,000 euros.
“We perform about 250 cardiac surgeries every year here in Tiršova. Modern medical equipment is essential for the success of these procedures and for our patients' postoperative recovery. These beds will enhance the treatment and stay conditions for the children,” said Dr. Vladimir Milovanović, Head of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Tiršova University Children's Clinic.
Tiršova University Children's Clinic is one of the leading medical centers in Serbia and the region, performing some of the most complex procedures. The Centers for Pediatrics and Surgery conduct up to 150,000 specialist exams and 7,000 surgeries annually. Through this donation, the Yettel Foundation aims to support the doctors who provide care for sick children and to improve their treatment and recovery conditions.
