Safe Net - a solution for safe Internet surfing
From now on, hiking and cycling trails in Serbia in the Yettel application
Belgrade, February 9 –Yettel has a new offer and solution for the safe use of Internet – “Safe Net”. While customers surf the Internet in the Yettel network, Safe Net identifies and blocks malicious web locations and protects them from Internet frauds that aim to steal personal or financial data.
In Serbia, according to data from CERT, there is one cyber-attack every 39 seconds. In addition to protection from the most common cyber threats, “Safe Net“ provides the option to have access control of content in specific categories, such as social networks, inappropriate content, games and potentially dangerous sites.
For years, the Yettel network has been a synonym for a fast and stable network, and now we are taking a step further regarding reliability and safety. Safe Net protects mobile devices from the most common cyber threats, such as malware, phishing, and botnets. This functionality is primarily intended for parents, so they can protect their children from unwanted content, but also for all customers who want to feel completely safe while using the Internet in our network”, says Saša Filipović, Chief Commercial Officer of Yettel, adding that Yettel’s goal is for customers to be safe both in real and digital world. “That is why we have mapped and marked hiking and cycling trails all over Serbia within a three-year cooperation with the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia, whereby we are actually digitalising and making easily available something that can be useful to every citizen”, concludes Filipović.
They are now incorporated in the Yettel application, in the section “Yettel Green Trails”. The trail categories have been divided into easy, medium, and hard. There is information on how long each one of them is, how much time it takes to complete them, as well as their altitude. Each map contains photos, interesting facts about the locality, the type of underground for walking, and attractions that can be found on the trail. In addition, Google Maps are also included in the Yettel Green trails, thus enabling navigation both to mountaineering and cycling localities, as well as along the trails. In the next period, the number of trails available in the application will increase and new functionalities will be added.
In case of an accident or deviation from the trail, the customers can call the on-duty service or the nearest local station of the Mountain Rescue Service in a quick and simple way through the application.
Yettel application is already used by 1.2 million customers each month and it is also accessible to users of other mobile operators.
