Belgrade, October 22, 2024 - An ESG survey conducted by Kantar has shown that Yettel is perceived as the most environmentally responsible company on the market for the second consecutive year. The company was also the best rated telecommunication operator regarding environmental responsibility.
The survey was conducted on a representative sample of the urban population in July 2024. In the last six months, 22% of respondents stated that they have heard about Yettel environmental activities, and the company was also recognized as the best place for collecting and recycling electronic devices.
According to surveys, this telco operator is perceived as the most environmentally responsible company among the general population, distinguishing itself from its competitors.
The company has been working for years to align its operations with environmental protection. For over 10 years, plastic bags have been phased out from its stores, and since 2023, only paper bags made with 50% recycled material have been provided. Additionally, 74% of customers have switched to electronic invoices. Launched in 2021, the Recycling Program has resulted in the recycling of more than 790,000 devices, totaling over 86 tons of electronic waste. Through the Eco Bonus service, a combined total of 741 tons of plastic and 354 tons of paper has been collected and recycled on behalf of customers.
Since 2022, the Yettel network has been the first 100% Green Network. This means that all electricity used by the company is derived from renewable sources, 100%ЗелЕПС. In 2024, all facilities — including shops, the headquarters building, warehouses, and the regional center — are powered by renewable energy.
